Sara Money-Monday

Hi I’m Sara! My husband, Robbie, and I were fortunate enough to become pregnant quite unexpectedly in 2016. Our world was forever changed with the birth of our precious daughter, Josey, in 2017. She was the light my world craved and being her mom has been the blessing of a lifetime. Being a mother came pretty naturally for me. It felt like second nature to cater to my daughter, but as time went on I felt a void. It was almost as if something was missing-I was missing me. I desperately wanted to feel like I had an identity again. I wanted to believe that there was more to me than sleep deprivation, breast milk, spit up, and diaper changes. Flash forward to my neighbor, Amy, telling me about Fit4Mom Fort Mill/Rock Hill Stroller Strides and after class number one I knew this was something I NEEDED to be a part of.

The women were welcoming, the workouts were challenging, and I got to bring my daughter along. Wins all around. After months of experiencing what a true mom tribe was about, and regaining confidence I hadn’t even realized I lost, the opportunity arose for me to organize Wednesday Playgroups and become Playgroup Captain. I jumped at the chance to push my creativity and entertain ALL the babies. I love coming up with new ways to fire up their minds and see their eyes shine! Being able to provide a moment to socialize with one another or engage in a planned activity with your kid is a wonderful little moment that every mom needs.

Shortly after this opportunity I became and instructor, and fell in love with Fit4Mom even more. Saying “yes” to instructing felt like the perfect progression for my journey. I have loved fitness and exercise my entire life, and it was an integral part of pre-baby Sara. Being an instructor allowed me to stretch out of my comfort zone and push myself even further into a new chapter of life. It gives my heart great joy to watch mothers set positive, healthy, and strong examples for their children while simultaneously choosing to care for themselves and the amazing bodies they have. This organization empowers women, and being a part of it is truly magical.
